True Custom Kitchens & Millwork is a Calgary cabinet shop creating custom kitchens, whole-home cabinetry, built-ins and architectural millwork for homes throughout Calgary and the surrounding area.
For more than two decades, our work has been built around a simple idea: custom cabinetry should begin with the space and the people using it, not a catalogue of predetermined sizes and solutions. We design around those realities, then carry the work through engineering, production, finishing and installation here in Calgary.
What custom means
More than choosing from a catalogue.
Custom means being able to respond to the actual room: an unusual wall, a collection that needs a home, appliances that need to disappear into the cabinetry, storage that needs to work differently, an older Calgary house where nothing is quite square, or a feature that simply does not exist in a catalogue.
Sometimes the best solution is straightforward. Sometimes it requires a little ingenuity. Either way, the goal is the same: cabinetry that feels considered for the home rather than fitted into it.

Keeping our work close matters. Our design and production teams are connected to the same project, with cabinetry built and finished in our Calgary shop before installation in your home.
That connection gives us more control over the details and makes it easier to solve problems when a project asks for something outside the ordinary. It also means the people designing your cabinetry understand how it will actually be made.

Beautiful cabinetry still has a job to do. We think about how doors open, where everyday items belong, how people move through a room, how finishes will stand up to use and how cabinetry meets the rest of the home.
That balance between design and practical problem-solving runs through everything we build, from a full kitchen or multi-room renovation to a hidden door, library, vanity or one-of-a-kind piece of millwork. The details should look intentional. They should also make everyday life easier.

Kitchens are a big part of what we do, but custom cabinetry does not stop at the kitchen door. Our work extends throughout the home, including pantries, mudrooms, closets, bathrooms, home offices, libraries, bars, wine rooms, media spaces, architectural millwork and specialty pieces.
Working across multiple spaces also allows materials, proportions and details to connect naturally throughout a home without making every room look identical.
The people behind the work
Good custom work is collaborative.
Our team brings together design, technical knowledge, cabinetmaking, finishing and installation, with each person contributing a different part of the finished project.
We also work closely with homeowners, builders, interior designers, architects and other trades because cabinetry rarely exists in isolation. Appliances, flooring, electrical, plumbing, stone, walls and architectural details all have to meet somewhere. Clear communication matters just as much as a clean joint.
